À Chamonix
I cannot describe how much I miss mountains. Here in southern Ontario it is ‘hilly’ but nothing so elevated. Chamonix is so beautiful and there is lots to do. Even if the skiing conditions are bad it is easy enough to do a day trip to Italy and Switzerland in one go. La vie européen !

These photos reminded me how good muscles and oysters are. I need to learn how to cook them here in Canada, but I am afraid they will never compare seeing as they won’t be fresh. 😦

After each bus ride I would walk home from the bus stop. We lived in what the French call the country, and I guess for them it was. It was beautiful with fields and houses covered in leaves and nature. Walks in this area were quite pretty. I particularly like the tree with a heart knot.
